Missionary Encouragement Fund

What Is It?

      Each and every one of us experience a financial emergency or a temporary shortfall in our income at one time or another. Our  missionaries also experience this type of problem. To help alleviate these temporary shortfalls, NTNI has set up the Encouragement Fund.

As a part of the Missionary Encouragement Program, this fund is designed to provide temporary financial assistance for NTNI Missionaries when they experience...

• a short term decline in donations
• a family emergency
• other circumstances deemed beyond their control

The Encouragement Fund (EF) is NOT to be considered a replacement for the individual missionaries Emergency Fund.  It can be used to supplement, not replace, their Emergency Fund.

How Is It Funded?

• A portion of NTNI's general tithe is placed in the Fund each month.
• Some donors give directly to the Encouragement Fund

Who Administers It?

The Encouragement Fund is administered by the NTNI Staff.  Requesting a disbursement for EF funds is not a guarantee that funds will be sent as the funds are limited.  Requests are subject to availabilty of funds and qualifying incidents.

When deciding where funds go, we look at...

• Average monthly donations versus current months income
• Do they maintain an Emergency Account
• Assistance they have received from the EF in the past

How do I donate to the Emergency Fund?

• On the Memo Line of your check put "Encouragement Fund" and mail to NTNI, PO Box 1607, Joplin, MO 64804
• Call the NTNI Office toll free at 1 (877) 838-9032 to make a donation by credit card or E-check
• Go to the Online Donation page and in the "Please Direct My Donation to" box select Encouragment Fund.
